“Knowing that we may now rally in support amid outages and extreme events is a tremendous source of comfort,” said Pictou West MLA Karla MacFarlane.Organizations receiving money include Abercrombie Volunteer Fire Department, Community Support Society of River John, MacDonald Rebekah Lodge No. 108, River John Legion Branch 108, River John Voluntary Fire Department, Scotsburn Fire Department and Union Centre Community Hall.Applications must be submitted before the end of Feb. 14.
