The Australian arm of US accommodation giant Sentinel Real Estate has swooped on a Gold Coast site for its first foray into a build-to-rent development in Queensland.

Keith Lucas, managing director of Sentinel in Australia, said the BTR project at lots 5-8 Stadium Drive in Robina’s Stadium Village precinct, would bring much-needed choice for renters in Queensland. Sentinel is one of the world’s biggest operators of BTR dwellings, known in the US as multi-family. Sentinel manages more than $14 billion of real estate assets, including more than 27,500 rental apartments.Its plans in Australia have accelerated quickly following its initial investment in Perth.
