‘Y’ has tailored once-a-month swim to meet needs of those on autism spectrum and their families
A new sensory swim program to meet growing demand in the community has been announced by the Sault Ste. Marie YMCA.
“Once we met with Algoma Autism Foundation to determine what modifications to make, we implemented a swim that is accessible for all to enjoy.” The YMCA says it has worked to adapt its services to better provide an inclusive environment to the city’s neurodivergent residents.
