She was scheduled to move in to a long-term care bed Wednesday, after months on up to four wait lists for area homes, Greaves said. Smoke and flames were coming out of the back of the building when firefighters arrived. Fire crews were told there was a person who was unaccounted for and initially went in for a rescue but dangerous, changing fire conditions forced an initial retreat, Mosburger said.

“Fire conditions started to show up in areas that we weren’t aware of.
