Senators' suitor Steve Apostolopoulos hasn't given up on his bid for Commanders

Steve Apostolopoulos remains in the mix to purchase the Ottawa Senators but he’s juggling a lot of balls in the air.

He noted he wanted “respect the process” but added “it’s a head-to-head process right now” between Apostolopoulos and Allen’s group.

He was given access to the data room by New York-based banker Galatioto Sports Partners and made a “non-binding” bid at the March 6 deadline. “We’re real estate guys so we look at it from a real estate standpoint as well.” Apostolopoulos said. The sale of the Senators is shaping up to be a stiff battle between billionaires that have mostly made their money through real estate development and are based in Toronto.
