OTTAWA — The Ottawa Senators have retained some goaltending depth behind new netminder Linus Ullmark by signing Mads Sogaard to a two-year contract.
Sogaard, from Aalborg, Denmark, had a 1-3-0 record with a 4.05 goals-against average and .859 save percentage in six appearances, including five starts, with Ottawa last season. The Senators overhauled their goaltending last month by acquiring Ullmark, the NHL's Vezina Trophy winner in 2023, in a trade with Boston.
