SHAH ALAM: In conjunction with the upcoming Merdeka celebrations, the Selangor police will be holding a special carnival and bicycle ride through the city on Saturday (Aug 26).
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the event will be the first of its kind held by the police contingent here.
"Our main objective is to build on our slogan 'Polis dan Masyarakat Berpisah Tiada'," he told reporters at the Selangor police headquarters on Tuesday . "We will be holding two bicycle rides, a 10km VIP ride and a 30km route for normal riders," he said adding that registration for the ride costs RM70.
"Those who are interested in registering can find a QR code to do so on our Polis Selangor Facebook page.
