Sebastian Vettel isn't ruling out returning to the grid just a year after retiring from Formula 1.
The German driver decided to call it a day last year after 15 years in the sport, ending his career with Aston Martin in 2022.But like fellow former world champions Nigel Mansell, Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkon have previously done, Vettel hinted he could make an incredible return to the sport ahead of next season.
When asked by Sky Sports' Martin Brundle if he would come back, Vettel said: "I can't say no, because that you don't know."And some of them I don't know, but in the end all of them came back, so I can't exclude it."George Russell and Lewis Hamilton take ice bath together as fans notice something bizarreIndeed, Alonso is the oldest driver currently still active and is going strong at the age of 42.
It was also the Spaniard who arrived at Aston Martin to replace Vettel last year and has helped them shoot up the standings. While Aston Martin were looking like a mid-table outfit with Vettel behind the wheel, Alonso currently sits third in the standings behind Red Bull pairing Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.
