Johnson stands tall in goal as Toronto FC draws in Atlanta
Italian star Federico Bernardeschi put Toronto ahead 1-0 in the 52nd minute when he left-footed a shot from just outside of the middle of the box to the bottom right corner. Bradley picked up the assist. It was Bernardeschi’s second goal in two MLS games this season.
The Reds were without star winger Lorenzo Insigne, who went down last Saturday at DC United with a lower body injury. He trained on his own on Thursday but was not ready to take the field. Brandon Servania made his first start for TFC at midfield. Bradley had Toronto’s best chance early when he received a pass in the box via a Bernardeschi free kick and headed it just over the goal.
Seconds after the Greek took the field, Rossetto tied it with the ball going first off Kaye and then Matt Hedges and then into the goal.
