A seafarer who was repatriated from Qatar tests positive for coronavirus in Negros Occidental. COVID19
Isang 45-anyos na seaman sa Negros Occidental mula sa Qatar ang nagpositibo sa COVID-19, ayon sa resulta ng kanyang test na inilabas nitong Lunes.
Ayon kay Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, nagpositibo sa RT-PCR test ang seaman na kabilang sa 27 na mga na-repatriate na overseas Filipino workers at nakauwi sa lalawigan noong Abril 28. Sila ay naka-quarantine sa isang hotel sa Bacolod City. Pero matapos lumabas ang resulta ng swab test ng 45-anyos na seaman, agad siyang inilipat ng Provincial Incident Management Team sa healing center sa bayan ng E.B. Magalona.Nanawagan si Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares sa mga residente ng lungsod na huwag mabahala dahil naka-quarantine at hindi nakapunta ng kanilang lugar ang pasyente.
Samantala, nag-negatibo naman sa COVID-19 ang isang 8-buwang sanggol sa Bago City, Negros Occidental na itinuring na suspect case matapos makaranas ng diarrhea at respiratory problem.Ito na ang ikapitong kumpirmadong kaso ng COVID-19 sa lalawigan ng Negros Occidental. Hindi kasama sa bilang na ito ang mga kaso sa Bacolod City.
Umabot na sa 11,086 ang kabuuang bilang ng kumpirmadong COVID-19 cases sa buong bansa. Sa bilang na ito, 1,999 ang mga gumaling habang nasa 726 naman ang namatay.
