Following the Oct. 24 election in which both municipal politicians and school board trustees were elected, all four local school boards recently selected the trustees who will be leading their respective boards over the next year.Rainbow District School Board held a swearing-in ceremony Nov. 15 for trustees serving on the board for the next four years. Madam Justice Patricia Hennessy administered the Declaration of Office and Oath or Affirmation of Allegiance.
The Sudbury Catholic District School Board also held its inaugural meeting Nov. 15. At the meeting, Michael Bellmore was re-elected board chair and Raymond Desjardins was re-elected vice-chair.“I am proud to serve as board chair,” said Bellmore, in a press release. “I would like to thank my fellow trustees for entrusting me with this role.
Suzanne Salituri was re-elected president of the board for the 2022-2023 school year. Louise Essiembre was re-elected as vice-president for the same term.
