Trudeau, speaking at a conference on fighting antisemitism, said Canada had seen a 'steady rise' even prior to the ongoing conflict.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau delivered a statement to Canada's House of Commons shortly regarding the situation in Gaza and Israel. In a speech to Canada's Parliament, Trudeau spoke to both the horrors of the Hamas attack last week as well as the terrible civilian losses as a result of the IDF's actions since then, in preparation for a ground invasion.
Police in Toronto, Canada’s largest city, said they arrested three men on Thursday after they made threats at the Community Hebrew Academy. Police have increased patrols in Jewish cultural centers and synagogues as well as Muslim mosques and other places of worship.The Canadian prime minister also condemned Hamas and said he supported Israel’s right to self-defense, while drawing a strong line between Hamas and pro-Palestinian voices.
