Scammers are surely upping their game. A few hours ago, TGV Cinemas posted an update on fake ticket giveaways sent by them to unsuspecting victims. According to TGV, they are now sending QR codes pretending to give two free tickets via email.
In TGV's short announcement on Facebook, the scammers are using a fake email called . Obviously, this is not the official TGV email and any sharp-eyed user would notice the 'mal' which could potentially stand for malware. It's recommended that anyone who received this email should disregard the link or scan their QR code.
Speaking of scams, we would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that if you have no business with any companies, then they have no reason to contact you at all. Official brands will also never ask for your personal details through WhatsApp, Telegram or any other social messaging account with a casual number unless stated otherwise on their official platform.
Moreover, brands also don't need your money to"boost" a certain product or channel and give you a return because it doesn't make any sense financially. And finally, if you are added to a suspicious group claiming to return your tiny investments, they are most likely scammers working together. Stay safe and stay vigilant.
