Sault's Studio Dance Arts brings homes top honours
The Sault’s Studio Dance Arts recently kicked off its 20th anniversary competitive season at the Terpsichore Dance Starz Challenge in Milton, Ont., April 13 to16.
A total of 14 participating studios from Pickering, Keswick, London, Brampton, Kitchener, Cambridge, Hamilton, Burlington, Toronto, Mississauga, Ottawa and the Sault performed close to 900 routines for a three-judge panel – all vying for top honours. Studio Dance Arts brought their full team, including their Novice Company, Mini Company, Junior Company and Intermediate/Senior Companies. SDA routines scored a multitude of “Outstanding” scores , along with many first places in categories.OVERALL RESULTS – PART-TIME TERPSICHORE CONVENTION SCHOLARSHIPS were awarded to Aliyah Flammia and Madeline Hutton.
REGIONAL CHAMPIONS – At the end of the event, the highest scoring 12yrs & Under and highest scoring 13yrs & Over routines are awarded the grand prize and named “Grand Champions.”Richard Kim and Tania Castellani-Greco , along with the entire SDA faculty are very proud of the dancers hard work, dedication, passion and love for the art of dance. Watching them develop into such beautiful artists and human beings is the biggest prize of all.
