In Bakhmut, there are up to 10,000 people who are living in terrible conditions with houses left destroyed. Parts of the city are a wasteland, with sections of residential apartment blocks flattened into concrete piles.Some of the worst battles since Russia began its "special military operation" 10 months ago have taken place near Bakhmut, which both sides have compared to a meat grinder.
