Hiroshima capitalized on their early dominance, establishing a 20-7 lead that they never relinquished. Torren Jones led San Miguel with 24 points and 13 rebounds, while June Mar Fajardo added 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
Despite Jones and Fajardo's efforts, San Miguel struggled offensively, shooting a dismal 36.1% from the field and 16.7% from beyond the arc. Notably absent was second import Jabari Narcis. Hiroshima, on the other hand, showcased a balanced scoring attack with five players reaching double figures, led by Nick Mayo and Keijiro Mitani, who both scored 18 points. Mayo also contributed 8 rebounds and 2 steals. Kerry Blackshear Jr. flirted with a triple-double, recording 12 points, 15 rebounds, 9 assists, and 3 steals. The Dragonflies improved to 4-1 in Group A. San Miguel, now out of the semifinal contention, will aim to halt their losing skid when they host Hong Kong Eastern on January 15
