South Korean tech giant Samsung is giving its Smart Monitor line a touch up for the year. Specifically, the company
, but it looks like it won’t be part of this refresh batch. Both also retain their 16:9 aspect ratio and 4K resolution, as well as 99% sRGB colour coverage, 60Hz refresh rate and 4m GtG response rate. Though while the latter retains its HDR 10 support, the former gets a bump up to HDR 10+.Beyond the screens themselves, both the Samsung Smart Monitor M8 and M7 come with a pair of built-in 5W speakers, a HDMI 2.0 port, two USB-A ports and one USB-C port.
The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 and M7 come with support for the usual media streaming services like Netflix and YouTube on their own, as well as support for video calls via Google Meet, for example. As you’d expect, there’s also support for voice assistants built in, such as Amazon Alexa and, naturally, the company’s own Bixby. Helping with the process are the built-in microphone, which also grants the monitors far-field voice recognition support.
