Mads Sogaard, who started the game in net, allowed three goals on 16 shots. Cam Talbot stopped four shots in the final 20 minutes.The loss could put an end to any chance the Senators had of staying in contention for the wild-card playoff spot in the NHL's Eastern Conference.

Bunting opened the scoring early in the second taking advantage of a loose puck knocked down by Nick Holden. He wristed it past Sogaard.
