Reduction to one-lane around start of April
communication director Toby Koffman, the lane reduction between exits 14 and 14a is “scheduled to start at the end of the month.”
“This work, and the lane reduction, will continue until late fall,” Koffman said in an email reply to the Truro News. “We encourage drivers to useto get updates before leaving and consider alternate routes or allow extra time to reach their destinations.” Those traveling through the reduction last spring and summer will recall the congestion it caused not only on the highway but also coming into Truro through McClure Mills Road or exiting off of Robie Street to the highway, especially during the end of work-day traffic, with Friday late-afternoon/early-evening seemingly being the worst.
