Mohamed Salah's Liverpool future has been uncertain following a disappointing end to the season at Anfield
The 31-year-old's contract with the Reds expires in the summer of 2025, and this has led to speculation that Liverpool will look to cash in on their forward. Salah managed 25 goals and 14 assists this season but was criticised for his performances at the turn of the year.
During his stint at the Africa Cup of Nations, Salah suffered a hamstring injury. He returned to grab a goal and assist against Brentford in January but was forced to sit out for the next two matches with a recurrence of the muscular issue.Upon his permanent return to the Liverpool squad, Salah suffered a rough run of form, scoring just three goals in 11 Premier League appearances.
Salah now appears to have put any doubts about his future to bed as he set out his intentions for next season to his followers on X. He tweeted: "We know that trophies are what counts and we will do everything possible to make that happen next season. "Our fans deserve it and we will fight like hell." What happens after next season though remains firmly up in the air.
With his contract expiring in 2025, it remains to be seen whether new manager Arne Slot will look to reward Salah with a new deal.
