Organizers are currently seeking volunteers for Safe Ride Home Sudbury, which will offer Greater Sudburians rides home in their own vehicles during this upcoming holiday season
With another season of Safe Ride Home Sudbury commencing Nov. 24, the organization hosted a kickoff celebration and media conference at their base of operations on Nov. 3.
“I can’t think of any better, more direct crime-prevention campaign than taking impaired drivers off the roads before they get on the roads,” he said. Last year, GSPS laid 290 impaired driving charges, including 78 involving drugs and 188 involving alcohol.
