Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Umno welcomes the Kuala Lumpur High Court’s recent decision of granting an order of discharge not amounting to an acquittal on Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s 47 charges relating to graft, breach of trust and money laundering.
Sabah Umno chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said they uphold and respect the decision made by Court of Appeal Judge Datuk Collin Lawrence Sequerah . “It is essential to note that this discharge followed a rigorous evaluation process undertaken by the Attorney-General’s Chambers, in which they reviewed the 47 charges based upon the compelling rebuttal evidence presented by the Defence team of Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi during the trial,” he said in a statement, Wednesday.
