KOTA KINABALU: Anyone with a complaint against an agency under the Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry should make a formal report, says its Minister Datuk Christina Liew.

KOTA KINABALU: Anyone with a complaint against an agency under the Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry should make a formal report, says its Minister Datuk Christina Liew .

She said that the ministry would not entertain viral accusations spread in social media as most of it was just hearsay."I don't think it will be fair to the people if we respond to claims on social media," she told the press here on Monday when asked to comment about viral messages claiming certain Sabah Tourism Board senior executives were taking frequent trips overseas.

The messages also claimed that"people have been frequently travelling all over the world and the extravagant spending is noticed". The message said Liew should demand greater scrutiny of STB's accounts and operations amid growing concerns that taxpayers are funding an overpaid and spendthrift government agency.Article type: free
