Sabah Mulls Over Mandatory COVID19 Testing For Visitors From China
specifically for travellers from the country. While Malaysia’s federal government has not enforced such rules as of yet, the Sabah state government may implement them depending on the outcome of its Cabinet meeting this week.
Last week, Sabah COVID-19 spokesman Masidi Manjun who is also the MP of Karanaan and the state’s Second Minister of Finance as well as its Housing and Local Government Minister announced that individuals from China are required to show a negative test result taken within 48 hours before being allowed to enter the state, effective 1 January 2023.
