KOTA KINABALU: Police will take action against students suspected to be involved in a fight seen in a video that was widely shared via WhatsApp since Tuesday (April 11) night.
The students are believed to be from a secondary school in the Kota Belud district about 70km from here.
Kota Belud OCPD Supt Shahrudin Mat Husain said they have yet to receive any official report from witnesses or the school authorities as of Wednesday morning.He urged witnesses to come forward to help in the investigation. "We urge the public not to speculate or spread any false information related to the incident," he added.
In the video, a teenager believed to be a student wearing a red T-shirt was seen being punched several times by another student while a number of other students in uniform looked on.
