An RV parked in a residential area of Victoria West suffered extensive damage after flames engulfed the vehicle Tuesday morning, sending a plume of smoke into the sky above. The fire broke out shortly before 7:30 a.m. in the 900-block of Catherine Street, between Langford and Skinner streets, witness Tim McKay tells CHEK News.“It was very interesting to see. You can actually hear the crackling of the fire in the first clips. I had to get clear for first responders,” he said.

Harold Alfred, another witness, says he heard an explosion, which prompted him to go outside and see the RV on fire. When speaking with CHEK News around 10 a.m., he said a tow truck was on scene to haul the vehicle away.Amid the aftermath, the RV’s windows were seen shattered, both its exterior and interior were covered in black soot, and its driver’s seat was completely destroyed.Sign up for our newsletter to get breaking news and daily digests sent to your email.
