Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Brigadier General Pat Ryder says several times Russian fighter jets Su-27s dumped fuel on and flew in front of the US drone MQ-9 in a “reckless and unprofessional manner” before colliding.
A Russian fighter jet has collided with an American surveillance drone, causing it to crash into the Black Sea.
“This incident demonstrates a lack of competence in addition to being unsafe and unprofessional,” he said during a media conference on Wednesday.
