Sa episode ng "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" nitong Biyernes, tinanong ni Tito Boy si Rufa tungkol sa estado ng pagsasama nilang mag-asawa.
“Kasi siyempre, pagod ako, lagi akong wala, in short. So, siyempre, there's always two sides of the story, pero naiintindihan ko rin na hindi naman, siyempre, puro ako lang ang tama. Siyempre siya rin naman, may reason din. Pero, we're going through something,” paliwanag niya.Sa ngayon, sinabi ng actress-comedienne na wala pang diborsyong inihahain mula sa magkabilang panig.
“So, ayoko munang mag-file sa mga divorce-divorce kasi, dito rin naman kasi kami kinasal sa Pinas. So, hindi ko rin alam kung ano ang gagawin. Masyadong masakit pa eh. Tapos may anak din kami na nagsabi, ‘When our family will be together?’ daw. Sabi ko na lang… Wala eh, ang hirap sagutin, ‘di ba?” “Kaya lang minsan, hindi siya artista, naaapektuhan din, kaya ayaw niya muna ma-connect sa pangalan , ‘yung pinag-uusapan, tahimik, very private kasi. Siyempre, nasasaktan siya ‘pag maraming nagsasabi, dahil sa pera,” paglalahad niya.
“Never. Nirerespeto ko siya. Hindi ko rin siya ginagawang laughing stock. Kasi baka Tagalog din, akala niya ‘yung mga jokes ko rin baka biglang nakaka-offend na sa kaniya. Hindi ko alam eh. Basta gusto ko siyempre mag-antay,” pahayag niya.
