PETALING JAYA: A rubber tapper pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court in Taiping for negligence leading to his daughter consuming cookies laced with cannabis last week.
The accused, Mohamad Firdaus Hassim, 39, made the plea after the charges were read out to him in front of Judge Nabisha Ibrahim, reports Malay language daily Sinar Harian on Tuesday .
He was accused of committing the act in a house at Kampung Bagan Lawin, Gerik, at around 7.30pm on May 29. The prosecution was conducted by Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohd Waffy Ismail while the accused was not represented.
