The victory is Minnesota's first in the playoffs since 2004, snapping an 18-postseason game losing streak. The Blue Jays had an opportunity to cash in during the top of the fourth inning with two runners on and two out with Kiermaier at the plate. The speedy outfielder chopped one to third base that got under the glove of Jorge Polanco and trickled toward the outfield. Bo Bichette ran from second to third on the play and continued toward home despite a stop sign from third base coach Luis Rivera.
