Media Writer for The Australian Sophie Elsworth says it was a “smart move” for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to address former president Donald Trump’s potential arrest without saying “anything too provocative”.
Ms Elsworth’s remarks come after DeSantis slammed Trump’s prediction of his own arrest as a “manufactured circus”, with the Governor stating he’s focused on “fighting back against Biden”.
“I think he had to address it, he tried to sort of skirt around the issue here without saying anything too provocative,” Ms Elsworth told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “He [Ron DeSantis] doesn’t want to be making headlines on this, I wouldn’t have thought, at this time.”
