On Rizal's martyrdom day, House Speaker Martin Romualdez urged Filipinos to emulate the national hero's sacrifices and ideals for freedom and progress. He highlighted Rizal's unwavering patriotism and vision for a nation based on education, equality, and freedom, emphasizing that his legislative agenda reflects these values.
On the occasion of his martyrdom, House Speaker Martin Romualdez called on his fellow Filipinos to be mindful of the sacrifices of our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal , if only to achieve freedom from foreign colonizers.
The leader of the House of Representatives also wished that Rizal would remain our country’s guiding light, acknowledging his exemplary patriotism by offering his own life so that his fellowmen can be freed from foreign domination. “Whether in the fields of education, science, governance or public service, we can see how Rizal’s heroism has influenced every Filipino who serves for the betterment of everyone,” the Speaker stressed.
