Semasa masih bersekolah dan tinggal di asrama selama lima tahun, saya selalu mengikuti rakan-rakan yang beragama Katolik menghadiri Misa Kudus, mengikuti doa kelompok setiap hari Khamis dan berdoa rosari.

Namun, apabila tamat sekolah dan balik ke kampung, saya tidak pernah lagi melakukan rutin se-perti sewaktu zaman sekolah kerana keluarga dan saudara terdekat, tidak ada yang beragama Katolik. Walau bagaimanapun, kerinduan itu tetap ada. Akhirnya saya menyertai kelas Inisiasi Kristian Orang Tua yang mengajar saya tentang doa, ajaran-ajaran Gereja Katolik, Alkitab dan banyak lagi.
