The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is searching for a man wanted in connection with a home invasion in St. John’s.

Fifty-year-old Daniel Johnson of Mount Pearl is wanted on charges of break and enter, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breaching a probation order. These charges stem from a home invasion on Wednesday, April 17, when a report from the public led patrol officers to respond to a residence on Kennedy Road, not far from the Village Mall. Responding officers determined two suspects had forced their way into a home and were wielding weapons.
The suspects left the area in a dark SUV. Two residents of the home, a man and woman, were assaulted and subsequently taken to hospital for medical support. Police say Johnson should not be approached. Anyone who sees him or has any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the RNC at 709-729-8000.
