Ringgit opens slightly higher ahead of key US inflation data

Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd chief economist and social finance head Dr Mohd Afzanizam Abdul Rashid said consensus estimates the US headline and core CPI to record slower increases in June at 3.1% and 5.0% , respectively. China’s authorities have also announced measures to support the real estate sector by allowing a one-year loan extension for ailing property developers.
In the first six months of this year , foreign funds have been net buyers at RM21.2 billion, as opposed to being net sellers of RM3.2 billion in 1H2022.
