Pada 9 pagi, mata wang tempatan menyusut nilai kepada 4.6035/6100 berbanding dolar AS daripada penutupan semalam pada 4.5950/6000. “BoC tanpa diduga menaikkan unjuran kadar semalaman sebanyak 25 mata asas kepada 4.75% selepas mengekalkannya stabil sejak mesyuarat Mac,” katanya kepada Bernama. Kenaikan kadar menunjukkan bank-bank pusat global belum lagi selesai dengan kitaran kenaikan kadar faedah kerana mereka melihat terdapat keperluan mendesak untuk membawa inflasi kembali ke paras sasaran, kata Mohd Afzanizam .
