The Albanese Government has provided an update on when the effigy of King Charles III that will be used on Australian coins will be unveiled to the nation.
Assistant Minister for Competition, Charities and Treasury Andrew Leigh revealed on Thursday the design for the new coins is still being worked through but it is hoped it will be finalised by May.

Offer ends 31 October, 2023 "There's a more complicated process than you might imagine in terms of designing an effigy, having it cleared with Buckingham Palace and then testing that the dies work," Mr Leigh said.
