JOHOR BARU: The rights of local artists should be respected as they have the copyright to any product that they have created, says Fahmi Fadzil.

The issue of copyright is something that is new to the country, and those involved in any violation should just sincerely apologise, the Communications and Digital Minister added.

"So, local artists should be respected, but at the same time, we are not stopping anyone from using any songs on their platform as there are many songs that have no copyright issues or are free to use," he said.
