“This has been a normal practice for departments from other states to send their personnel to help teams in the affected state,” he said, adding that 3,634 personnel were involved in the rescue operations. Asked whether the department received any reports of snakes and crocodiles during rescue operations, Mohd Rizal said no such cases had been reported so far.
