The remains of a female Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who died in the earthquake in Turkey arrived at her residence in Barangay Ilayang Dupay in this city on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 16.

LUCENA CITY, Quezon — The remains of a female Overseas Filipino Worker who died in the earthquake in Turkey arrived at her residence in Barangay Ilayang Dupay in this city on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 16.

Wilma Abulad-Teczan’s remains that arrived from Turkey on Wednesday evening were directly brought to a funeral home. According to Abulad’s relatives, there will be a three-day vigil at the residence of Abulad before her internment on Saturday afternoon in a private cemetery in this city. Wilma’s husband Gurol Tezcan will be arriving on Friday, Feb. 17, after getting a copy of a new passport that was lost in Wilma’s keep when the tragedy happened.It may be recalled that Wilma’s father, William, a barangay tanod in Ilayang Dupay, sought the help of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr to repatriate his daughter’s remains on Feb. 10.
