Durham Region is sizing up its sewer infrastructure in north Oshawa and north Whitby, and they’re looking for your thoughts.
Staff are prepping an environmental assessment to figure out which upgrades are needed in the future. Durham is expected to see more population density in the coming years, which would put more stress on sanitary sewer lines.Possibilities include expanding existing facilities or building new sanitary sewers, forcemains and pumping stations.
You are invited to provide feedback until November 23. Public comments will be used to develop a final report in 2024.
