The Redblacks say Khari Jones, a former quarterback turned head coach of the Montreal Alouettes, has been named the team’s new offensive coordinator and assistant head coach.
Jones was head coach for the Alouettes in 2019, 2021 and 2022 . The Alouettes reached the playoffs but lost in the east semi-final in 2019 and 2021. Jones was fired as head coach in July 2022 when the team had a 1-3 record. During his CFL career as a quarterback, he played for four teams, but had the most success with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He retired as a Blue Bomber in 2007.
