Province anticipates busy year for roadwork

Premier Andrew Furey announced almost $1.4 billion over five years to improve highway and roads infrastructure. It’s the biggest amount of provincial government spending on roads over a five-year period in the province’s history. Furey said the government anticipates this will be a record year for roadwork, “and we’re just getting started,” he said.
