While Russia forms three new army corps consisting of some 75,000 personnel, the US and Brussels are playing the role of scrooge - supplying advanced weaponry in just enough quantity to prevent a Ukrainian defeat but not enough to win the war outright.
Then on Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed his Chief of General Staff General of Army Valery Gerasimov as the supreme commander of the Ukrainian campaign.

All of this signals an ongoing desire by Washington and Brussels to ensure Ukraine does not lose to its Russian invaders. The answer may be trivial. There’s just not enough supply.
