Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry CEO Andrew McKellar says the RBA rate rise decision is a “risk for the Australian economy” as the government tries to avoid the risk of recession.
“The reserve bank has to be careful how much more it pushes up interest rates,” Mr McKellar told Sky News Australia.
“We don’t want to see a situation where internationally the economy’s slowing, other major economies are going into a risk of recession.
