The powerhouse Carleton University Ravens men’s basketball squad is still alive in pursuit of its fourth consecutive national title. Barely.
The Citadens, however, stuck with the Ravens basket for basket throughout the back and forth contest. The Ravens led 18-17 after the first quarter and UQAM jumped ahead 36-34 at the half. They extended the lead to 57-53 after three quarters, but ultimately couldn’t hold off the Ravens down the stretch.
Guillaume Pepin led the way for the Gee-Gees with 22 points, while Kevin Otoo and Cole Newton each chipped in with 15 points each.
