Rauf hopes for ‘zero’ opposition in Melaka FMTNews
Melaka chief minister Ab Rauf Yusof named 10 deputy exco members, comprising eight from BN and two from PH.
PETALING JAYA: Melaka chief minister Ab Rauf Yusof has expressed hope that two assemblymen from Perikatan Nasional will join the state government before an anti-hopping bill is tabled in the state assembly in July. The Melaka Umno chief said if the two assemblymen agree to join his administration, Melaka will create history as the first state with “zero” opposition.Of the 10, eight are from Barisan Nasional, and the remaining two from Pakatan Harapan.The eight deputy executive councillors from BN are:
Khaidhirah Abu Zahar – economic planning, finance, land affairs, NGOs, investment, industry and development of Technical and Vocational Education and Training .Zaidi Attan – tourism, heritage, art and culture.Siti Faizah Abdul Azis – health, human resources and unity.Rosli Abdullah – education, higher education and religious affairs.The two deputy executive councillors from PH are:Low Chee Leong – rural development, agriculture and food security.
