Australians will soon be able to purchase an at-home test which detects both COVID-19 and the flu following approval from the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
Similar to COVID-19 rapid antigen tests used at home, the combined self-tests will feature an additional line on the cassette that detects influenza A and B.

Offer ends 31 October, 2022The TGA said approvals are subject to conditions that require sponsors of the tests to provide on-going quality and performance information. The latest announcement comes after several changes were made to COVID-19 rules and regulations as Australia's winter wave eases.
The change is set to take effect from Friday, September 9, with the first weekly reports to be issued across the nation on September 16.
