Manila City Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan announced the return of Rampa Manila on June 19 at the Bulwagang Antonio Villegas in Manila City Hall.
According to the mayor, they decided to hold a second edition of the fashion show because there is a wealth of talent who deserve to be given a spotlight.“Gaya po noong isang taon, napakarami pong magagandang likha ang nakita natin sa atin pong mga local fashion designers, and I’m pretty sure ngayong taon po ay marami na naman tayong makikita from our very own,” the mayor said.
Up-and-coming young fashion designers, Dhenyze Guevara, Morissette Magalona, and Joanna Santos, will also grace the event.Just like last year, the event is in celebration of Manila’s founding anniversary.“Bilang pagdiriwang ng araw ng Maynila, tamang-tama lang na sa taong ito ay ulitin natin ‘yung ‘Rampa 2.’ Dito po kasi sa Manila, maraming batikan at magagaling na mananahi, and of course mga bagong talento,” Lacuna said.
