Ariel Querubin is taking his sports advocacy to the next level.The retired Philippine Marine Corps officer is running for senator in the 2025 midterm elections as an independent candidate alongside Col. Bonifacio Bosita, former head of the Highway Patrol Group of the Philippine National Police .Querubin and Bosita has placed sports development on top of their platform in seeking for senatorial seats.
'Filipino athletes are also heroes of our nation, just like those in the military service,who deserve due attention from the government,' said Querubin, a recipient of the Medal of Valor, the country's highest military award for courage.Bosita shares the advocacy and the vision of Querubin.He vowed to look after the welfare of athletes as well as develop the grassroots development program of Philippine sports.
